College Passed - Summer has kicked off

After all my hard work and some stressful days such as finding out a theory class from first year was failed.......when i thought i had passed! so spent a little under 2 days sorting out that. I then discovered my 5ft cappa board for mounting all my final prints was gone from the store cupboard which meant i had to trail to art shops only to find out they were all sold out. I then ramsacked my completely full locker for old window mounts, lol it worked out in the end but OH ME i was crying and everything, NOT a good two days! But it's all good now and i have passed everything! :D just waiting for the letter that says i have an HND and then i will graduate in November woop woop!

Summer has now officially started as of yesterday when i found out i passed everything :)
I started it off with a really active day - it was just so beautiful outside - hot and sunny :) i kitted myself out in one of my new bikini's from republic and stretched out in the garden for some sunbathing. The sun is something i desperately need, due to being a fair shade of white!

My nephew Joel was running about in the garden with me too, i blew up a paddling pool for him and he found a water pistol so some fun was had with that much to Jasper the rabbits dismay!

Heather then came round, kitted out with a top, a cardigan and her jacket, which by the way has a FUR hood! Was she completely mad? I don't know ;-) here was me in a bikini and roasting, and she had all those layers on. We walked down to get Chester - her golden ginger labrador and she saw sense and changed into shorts and tshirt lol.

We walked to the beach, had ice creams and lay on the beach, it was so hot and relaxing, although the dog was desperate for a swim so myself and him swam in the sea for a bit - so refreshing!! a little cold at first but it really helped my fibromyalgia pain which was great :)

After that, Martyn picked me up and we went to my sisters new house for my Dad's birthday BBQ which was awesome, all the family were there - martyn, all my sisters, nephews, mum and dad etc. Watched Andy Murray beat Wawrinka too, although the match was 4 hours long so didnt quite watch all of it, was awesome though :)

After that Martyn and I headed to Illicit Still to meet Bruce, Heather, Noj and Sarah and we did the pub quiz and saw the end of the tennis at the same time. We came joint first so there was a tie break situation. One member from each team was to be put forward for the tie break question. I went forward and waas closer to the correct answer than the dweeb from the other time so i won the quiz for us :-D 5 free drinks which we demolished fairly quickly, lots of lollies and a horse teddy! lol

All in all it was a great day and evening. Heading to France on Friday, CAN'T WAIT. Away into town now to do some shopping :-)

Wow, what a night!

First of all, welcome to my blog all you nosey people :)

Been meaning to make a blog for so long, i had signed up for Blogspot but had never got off my arse and actually written anything! So here i am now...finally :)

Well...to go with my title - what a night!! Last night was brilliant !
For those who aren't sure what i'm on about, it was the opening night of the End of Year Exhibition at the college i study Photography at :) There is just two days left before everything had to be handed in so the pressure is on! Luckily lastnight gave us all a wee breather and a chance to get dressed up and have a drink or 9 ;)
I even sold one of my photographs which was excellent !

Have to give a wee mention to Joanne from my class - she won BOTH awards for Best Photography Work and Best Student! Well deserved and well celebrated i think :) hehe

After the exhibition the majority of us students and a couple of fun-filled lecturers headed to Five on Union Street to carryon the celebration and fun. After a few drinks and a couple of shots there we all headed to Espionage which ended up with the following:

Lots of buy 4 for £10 drinks
Lots of dancing
Lots of fishbowl drinks which tasted amazing
Chats with the Mr Sam Brill for the first time :)
Dancing to Ring of Fire in the toilets
A lovely sleepy walk at 2.30am for chips and cheese :)

All in all, an amazing night! I'm going to miss my college buds a lot! Not all of us are heading to Grays, some of my favourite people are either not doing the degree or are moving away :( sad times. But i know we'll stay in touch :)

Time for me to go to bed now i think after a somewhat painful hangover that lasted most of today.

Goodnight x
